the feelings and attitudes of people who have been victims of the org cannot be covered under one umbrella.. because in comparrison to many here my exit from the ogg was painless i hope my posts and comments will not lack compassion or show intolerence to those less fortunate.. personally i see all ex-witnesses as survivors, not victims .because in spite of there suffering they have achived exactly what the org triead to prevent.freedom from the mind control .
of couse for many the terrible emotional scares remain.the price of seperation from family members ect are high to pay.
and it is because of such emotional pain that boards like this should be given credit for the major- role they play in healing those that need healing, educating those that need educating and supporting those that need support.

in speaking with some people the other day i realized i have no roots....no long term frienships....no family connections.
i went to a party and almost all of the people there knew each other from high school or college or family friends.
i felt so out of place.
Xena, I have a feeling that there's quite a few of us in the same position as yourself....as for me....I'm in the same position....and I just try to take it day by day and make what I can of my life....and enjoy the support and camaradarie of the other xdubs online....oh, it isn't always great (my life).....but coming here to this forum and enjoying the cyber-friendships with other xdubs online sure does relieve some of the loneliness and feelings of isolation....and helps to keep me grounded, so to speak.....because I know that others here like me understand where I'm coming from....and what I've experienced and my way of speaking.......

Cherie, you are so fortunate/blessed to have found this forum! I, too, was alone and isolated from any friends and family for 7 yrs after I made my exit from the borganization.....and only had my youngest son with me.....until I found XJW's online....it's been wonderful since then....and I think you're gonna love it here, sweetie....lotsa loving, supportive, interesting & fun-loving people on this forum...Glad to have you here, FrenchBabyFace....WELCOME!

this last week i've been doing some painting at a care facility.
quadraplegics, schizophrenics, autistics, down's syndrome.. they come out (or look out, or stare out) of their rooms and "talk" with me while i'm working.. i don't really know how to put this into words, but.... i've got a helluvalot to be thankful for, and "god" has a hellovalot to answer for.. craig
I'm with you, Tex....for everything there is a reason.....we don't always understand the reason and it's much easier to point a finger than to sit down and try to figure it out.......

i'm leaving this up for interpretation.. this verse is speaking of the coming anti-christ and it gives a bit of some detail about his background....note it states that he will have no desire for women.. so what does that make the anti-christ be???.

Not at all, CyrusthePersian.....what you wrote compares profoundly to the "Steppford" movie....think about it....taking their "meds" (prescribed meetings, studies, readings & field svc) at the prescribed times, in the prescribed amounts...any behavior outside what is prescribed results in drastic measures taken by the heirarchy to either overcome that behavior or cancel the problem person....
